From a Home Oven to a Neighborhood Favorite

Mireen Bakery started as a weekend ritual in Samuel Mireen’s tiny kitchen – a way to unwind, bake with love, and share warm bread with neighbors. As word spread and the smell of sourdough drew friends to his doorstep, the dream of a real bakery began to rise (pun intended).

In 2020, that dream became reality. Mireen Bakery opened its doors in the heart of Los Angeles, with one simple mission: to create honest, hand-crafted baked goods that bring joy to the community.

Today, we’re still as small and personal as ever – just with more ovens and a lot more flour on our aprons.

Hi, I’m Samuel.
Baking has always been personal to me – it’s how I show love, connect with people, and slow down in a busy world. What started as a few loaves for friends quickly grew into a full-time passion.

Mireen Bakery is more than a business – it’s a reflection of my values: quality over quantity, people over profit, and flavor over flash. I’m at the bakery every morning before sunrise, and most days you’ll find me behind the counter too – just say hello!

We believe great baking is simple:
Local ingredients. Traditional methods. Zero shortcuts.

We work with local mills and farmers for the freshest flour, butter, eggs, and seasonal fruits. Our doughs are slow-fermented, our pastries are hand-folded, and our flavors are developed with patience and purpose.

We don’t believe in rushing bread. Or people.
